HTC has a reputation of making "classy" smartphones. The HTC surround is no different , with its large 3.8" LCD touchscreen and classic solid feel when held in hand. Its no different from the likes of other similar HTC smartphones . But , take a deep look and you will surely see the difference .


When you open the slide you can see the aluminium wrapped speaker bar and integrated stand, unlike other smartphones which reveal a QWERTY keypad this the HTC Surround does pack some distinction apart from the fact that its one of the first smartphones to run on windows 7 platform.

Talking about all the features we think its a bit difficult to digest the fact that it comes without a physical QWERTY keypad but weights the same or heavier then similar smart phones with QWERTY keypad . Moreover the other disadvantage of this design is that without opening the slider you cannot enjoy the enhanced audio quality. It's kind of irritating as you don't always use that integrated kick stand for multimedia viewing and for listening music.

Overall, it's a great smart phone based on windows 7 OS minus the slider speaker design.!
