Sony Ericsson Spiro Review

Check Price of Sony Ericsson Spiro
The ever growing Walkman series from Sony Ericsson is surely a distinct brand identification of Sony Ericsson and a very successful line indeed. It has given us some amazing music phones and this time it does not fail either.
Yes , we are talking about Sony Ericsson "Spiro".

Spiro is a handy little phone with a little extra thickness at 16.75mm although it does not feel heavy in the pocket.
The display is a tiny 2.2 inches TFT and fails to impress. It is good for normal use and we don't expect high definition video viewing from a music phone although we'd love to.

It has a 3.5mm audio jack on the top, a USB connectivity port on one side and volume adjusting buttons on the other. Spiro has a 2MP camera with no flash and no lens cover protection.

The phone has a fast User Interface. Sms are shown in threaded view and the phone comes with Facebook and Twitter integration.

The main highlight of Spiro is its Walkman series nature. The music player is the standard one found in similar Walkman series phones. It also has TrackID option which helps in song recognition.It Supports MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAc+ files formats. Fm radio is also present but you need to use ear phones to listen Fm. Loud speaker is also decent but not exceptional.

Camera is a mere 2 MP without flash and auto focus feature. Its 2x zoom is of average quality . Do expect rather disappointing camera result.

It is available in four different colors ,Contrast Black, Sunset Pink, Spring Green, Stealth Black. Battery talk time is 4hours and 30 minutes.

Main drawbacks:

  • Below quality camera without flash
  • No built-in antenna for Fm listening without earphones.
  • Rather small display
  • Menu buttons are tad too small
  • Internal memory is a meager 5 MB for a music phone!!
  • Memory card slot is inside which is inconvenient.
