Zong : 100 pe 100 offer sets the mood right

After creating some waves in the telecom market with its unlimited free calling offers like Karachi unlimited and Lahore unlimited , zong has come up with another great offer . This offer is being marketed as "100 pe 100" that means with every rs100 charge you get double the talk time . 80% of which can be used on net while 20% is for off net calls, though the free minutes come with a limit to be used within 3 days . 

The offer is good news for the end users. As we predicted before and all the telecom analysts suggest that the price war is going to continue with operators more and more free calls and dirt cheap international calls. This phenomenon is likely to continue. 

Taking the example of Zong it has already started to see multiple digit growth in the form of number of customers joining its network after its "Zong Unlimited Offer" which is now being offered in 37 cities across Pakistan. Moreover the Karachi and Lahore unlimited offers have had a positive appeal for the masses and people have positively responded to the offer.

Recent PTA figures suggest that Zong has added the most number of subscribers in a month nearly, 700,000 . The figure suggests that Zong has a lot of potential and it has a relatively small chunk currently of the market share but it has been growing since its start . 

While it remains to be seen how much market share will Zong be able to take away from other operators it is clear that it;s going to give a good competition to other operators.Zong has a number of firsts now to its credit like introducing the GPRS buckets both time based and data based. It was a good move and soon after other operators followed suit.

The Zong Unlimited offer has again set the trend for others to follow. Zong has taken the lead again by offering a unique offer not offered by any other operator. Now , its time for Zong to move forward and think about a separate brand for the youth. That's one segment where it lags behind other telecom operators .
