Zong: Revised Postpaid Packages

It seems like every telecom operator is trying hard to get postpaid subscribers and postpaid plans are being made simpler and cheaper to convince people to switch to postpaid.
Zong has also quickly changed its postpaid offerings and package plans start from as low as l00rs line rent per month.

The minimum Price Plan is of 100rs line rent and the good news is that the security deposit is also low. just rs 600 . Other telecom operators should also lower security deposits on basic price plans because the monthly expense of basic plan callers is in between Rs200 to 600 and requiring security deposit larger then this amount discourages users who are willing to convert to postpaid tariff.  Other important thing in these postpaid packages is that you get equal amount of free minutes equal to the line rent you pay. Additionally , the bigger the package the lower the call rate on both on net calls and off net calls.

Recently , we have been seeing Ufone also offering prepaid customer offers to postpaid customers as well. So we are definitely seeing a change in strategy by telecom operators to get postpaid customer market in full swing . Definitely , we see that the battle is going to shift from prepaid call rates to offering better VAS , more affordable postpaid plans and better packages to the youth.

Just on a side note, it would be great if Zong assigns a nice name to its postpaid package plan, All others have  done that except Ufone and Zong. We say , Post paid demands some respect.
