Sony Ericsson posts small profit, old products being the reason for lower then expected profits

Sony Ericsson has posted lower then expected profit for the 4th Quarter of 35 million euro while it was predicted by analysts that it will post a profit of about 85 million euro.
Sony Ericsson's CEO cites "lack of new products" being the primary reason for the fall in profit . This is sharply in contrast to the sales and profits of other companies like Apple who's results were higher then expectations.

Sony Ericsson has missed out in managing to impress and offer smartphones in the market as compared to other manufacturers like Samsung and Apple. Lack of product line refreshment is the main reason why Sony Ericsson has been left behind in the race.
