BlackBerry's Playbook to come with Android

The newest rumor to hit the news desk is that Blackberry's Playbook is going to come up with Android OS rather then BlackBerry's OS. This shift is seen as Blackberry's strategy to give tough competition to Apple iPad.

Blackberry has been struggling to expand or main its market share in the competitive smartphone and tablet market where Android OS is emerging as the preferred choice among buyers and major manufacturers like Apple , Samsung and HTC are using Android OS for their smartphones and tablets. BlackBerry's move to adopt Android for its upcoming "Playbook" tablet will surely make a positive impact for Blackberry and competitors might fear higher competition now then before.

BlackBerry with its own unique brand identity which is very strong among the corporate customers can create a unique competitive advantage for it's Playbook tablet whereby it would use its BIS services along with the benefits and reputation of Android to create a unique product for users from both market segments.
