Rumors of possible marriage of Nokia and Windows 7 have been the talk of the town in recent days. Knowing that Nokia seems to be struggling in the smartphone segment amongst tough competition from Android OS and Windows 7 facing the same competition from Android platform we think this might be a good idea to work on.
The idea is pretty simple. Nokia and Windows 7 have a single and common competitor, Android. If Nokia could manage to get exclusive rights to windows 7 OS for its smartphones , the idea may click. But there seems to be much work that needs to be done to make this partnership a successful one.
Android is flying high and updates come pretty fast as well. Besides there are numerous benefits for developers who work on an open source project like Android. Windows 7 has not been as popular amongst users as Android is .
If Nokia and Microsoft agree to work together , then Nokia will surely have ti drop their own OS which is just not even released yet. MEEGO OS will be doomed before its release.
The bottom line is Nokia and Windows 7 if they manage to get together , will have to work things out for the users in the form of better user experience for Windows 7 and that too with little time in hand.
